Gary and Mary West have relocated their grade I winner
Mongoose to John Sykes' Cloverleaf Farms II near Ocala, Fla.
Mongoose scored his biggest win in Florida, taking the Donn Handicap (gr. I) at Gulfstream Park over a field that included
Red Bullet and Hal's Hope. He also defeated
Monarchos in a Gulfstream allowance race and ran second in the Gulfstream Park Handicap (gr. I).
As a 2-year-old, Mongoose won the Miller Genuine Draft Cradle Stakes. He retired with six wins from 17 starts and earnings of $694,531.
Seven-year-old Mongoose (Broad Brush--Salty Gal, by Cox's Ridge) formerly stood at Signature Stallions near Ocala. His first foals are yearlings. A fee will be announced later.
