Meadowlands Announces Saturday Cancellation

Live racing at the Meadowlands is cancelled through Oct. 15, due to a week of rainstorms resulting in flooding in Northern and Coastal New Jersey.
The next scheduled racing program is Oct. 18. First race post time is 1:10 p.m.
The weather-related problems began last Saturday when the card was cut short after the first race. Only three races were conducted Tuesday after the jockeys voted not to ride. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday nights' programs were washed out too.
The Meadowlands 30-date Thoroughbred meet runs through Nov. 12.
