Stakes Winner Deputy Storm to Northview in Maryland

Multiple stakes winner Deputy Storm has arrived for stallion duty at Northview Stallion Station near Chesapeake City, Md. A 4-year-old son of Forestry  , he will stand for $3,500.

Deputy Storm set several quarter-mile fractions in :21 and change and a pair of half-mile fractions in :43 and change. As a 2-year-old at Monmouth, he won the Tyro Stakes and ran second in the Sapling Stakes (gr. III). Later in his career, he captured the King Cotton Stakes at Oaklawn Park and was runner-up to Limehouse in the Hutcheson Stakes (gr. II) at Gulfstream. He finished fourth in the mile Gotham Stakes (gr. III) at Aqueduct to Saratoga County, Pomeroy, and Eddington after setting a strong pace.

Deputy Storm retired with four wins from 11 starts and earnings of $183,465 for James Spence. He is a half-brother to major Canadian stakes winner Bag Lady Jane and is out of Canadian champion and classic winner Deputy Jane West (by Silver Deputy).

Northview is owned by Allaire du Pont, Dr. Tom Bowman, and Richard Golden.
