A 90,000-guiena colt out of Premiere Dance, offered and bred by the National Stud, headed business after Willie Browne of Ireland-based breeze-up consignor Mocklershill Stables came out best in a duel with David Redvers.

"He'll be coming back here in April; he has to having cost that money," said Browne. "He was very expensive, I thought I might get him for 60,000 guineas, but I was mad about him. It was all on a bit of a whim, but I like Sakhee and sometimes you get a feeling about a horse and I had to have him."

Trainer Neville Callaghan will take charge of a 78,000-guinea Sakhee colt out of Shukran, bought by Richard Brown of Blandford Bloodstock.

The gross of 2,689,500 guineas was up 15% on 2004 while the average price of 20,375 guineas jumped by 61%.
