Claiborne Bumps Pulpit's Fee

Shortly after announcing the fee for incoming stallion Eddington, Claiborne Farm announced that it has raised the fee for Pulpit from $60,000 to $80,000. Pulpit (A.P. Indy--Preach, by Mr. Prospector) is on his way to having his best year yet at the Hancock family's farm near Paris, Ky. He is represented this year by nine stakes winners.

In other stud news, Claiborne will keep Seeking the Gold (Mr. Prospector--Con Game, by Buckpasser) at $125,000, and has reduced the fee for Monarchos (Maria's Mon--Regal Band, by Dixieland Band) from $25,000 to $15,000.

Other Claiborne fees for 2006 are: Arch, $15,000; During, $10,000; Eddington, $20,000; Flatter, $5,000; Horse Chestnut, $10,000; Out of Place, $7,500; Private Terms, $3,000; Stroll, $7,500; and Strong Hope, $30,000.
