A field of 11 juvenile fillies with no heavy favorite should make for a competitive renewal of the Darley Alcibiades Stakes (gr. II) Friday, Keeneland opening day of the fall meeting.

More Than Pretty, from the barn of Keeneland regular Bernie Flint, will be on the lead and one of those who may prove tough to handle in the $400,000 1 1/16-mile race.

By More Than Ready  , More Than Pretty has won just one race in five starts, but has three seconds including her most recent two outings. She was beaten just a neck in both the Mountaineer Juvenile Fillies and NATC Futurity at Monmouth. She is owned by Naveed Chowhan and will be ridden by Rafael Bejarano.

These same connections won last year's Alcibiades with Runway Model.

D. Wayne Lukas, who has won the Alcibiades six times, will send out the Fusaichi Pegasus   filly Ex Caelis, who broke her maiden in Saratoga and then ran second in the Arlington Breeders' Cup Lassie (gr. III). The third-place finisher in the Lassie, Coolwind, is also in the Alcibiades field.

Ex Caelis, who races for Circle C Group Stables, will be ridden by Edgar Prado.

Trainer Bill Mott, who is having a big year, will saddle Performing Diva, who had trouble in her first start and with the addition of Lasix, easily won her second outing at Saratoga Sept. 3. By Storm Cat, she is owned by her breeder, Bruce Lunsford.

The one-two finishers from the Pepsi Bassinet Stakes--Dixie Dreamer and She Says It Best, are other members of the competitive field.
