Behrens, Vicar Settle First Mares

John Phillips, managing partner of Darby Dan Farm near Lexington announced that grade I winners Behrens and Vicar have settled their first mares. Color My Heart (by Marquetry) is in foal to Behrens, and Continued (by Forty Niner) is in foal to Vicar.
Seven-year-old Behrens (Pleasant Colony -- Hot Novel, by Mari's Book) won three grade I events and earned $4,563,500. Vicar, a 5-year-old son of Wild Again out of the El Gran Senor mare Escrow Agent, captured two grade I stakes and earned $835,142.
