Fasig-Tipton has catalogued 189 horses for its fall select mixed sale in Lexington. The sale will begin at 4 p.m.(EST) on Sunday, Nov. 6, and open with approximately 100 weanlings then continue with in foal mares, broodmare prospects, and fillies and mares in training.
Included in the sale are the dams of several horses that are expected to run in the Oct. 29 Breeders' Cup races. Among them are the dams of Folklore and Lost in the Fog. There are also five grade I-winning females who will be trained up to the sale, some of which will run in the Breeders' Cup events. This group includes Riskaverse, who won the grade I Flower Bowl Invitational on Oct. 1 in her most recent start, raising her earnings to over $2 million.
"We are very happy with the high quality and diversity of our November catalogue," said Fasig-Tipton president Walt Robertson. "It has been many years since we have seen a group of stars like this come together in one night."
Other mares of note include the dams of grade I winners Bandini, Bellamy Road, Declan's Moon, Lion Heart, and Toccet.
Racing/broodmare prospects include grade I winners Amorama, Angara, My Trusty Cat, and Wild Fit.
The sale will conclude with offerings of a share in leading stallion Distorted Humor
and two lifetime breeding rights in Medaglia d'Oro
