Dozen Shoot for Turfway Park Fall Championship

Senor Swinger and Nkosi Reigns are just a pair of the 12 expected starters for Saturday's one-mile $100,000 Turfway Park Fall Championship Stakes (gr. III).

Trained by Bob Baffert for Bob and Beverly Lewis, Senor Swinger will be looking for his second win of the year from six starts when he breaks from post 11 under jockey Brice Blanc. Senor Swinger's lone win of 2005 came in the June 18 Opening Verse Handicap, going 1 1/16 miles at Churchill Downs.

The son of El Prado most recently registered back-to-back fifth-place finishes in the July 4 Firecracker Breeders' Cup Handicap (gr. IIT) at Churchill and in the Aug. 27 Fourstardave Handicap (gr. IIT) at Saratoga, respectively.

The Christine Janks-trained Nkosi Reigns is shooting for back-to-back stakes wins in the Fall Championship Stakes after winning the one-mile Cigar Stakes at Arlington Park Aug. 13 .

Racing only at Hawthorne and Arlington this season, the son of Out of Place began the season with a four-length win in an April 23 allowance optional claiming contest. He also finished third in the May 28 Hanshin Cup Handicap (gr. IIIT) and was second in the July 9 Dr. Fager Stakes.

Christopher Emigh will be aboard William, Lydon, Arbaway Farms, and Carson Farms' Nkosi Reigns. The pair will break from post one.
