European champion Shamardal, who currently is spending his first season at stud at Sheikh Mohammed's Darley Australia near Aberdeen, will begin his Northern Hemisphere career in 2006 at the Sheikh's Kildangan Stud in Ireland.

Shamardal (Giant's Causeway--Helsinki, by Machiavellian) earned a Cartier Award as Europe's top 2-year-old of 2004 and was England's champion juvenile male. This year, he won three group I races prior to his retirement this summer.

Shamardal's Southern Hemisphere fee is $55,000 in Australian funds (approximately $41,000).
