Keeneland to Host a 'Dream Week' of Prizes

Edited from Keeneland press release--

Fans who come to Keeneland during closing week Oct. 26-Oct. 29 will have a chance to win one of six "dream" prizes as part of Keeneland's "Dream Week" giveaway.

"Dream Week" was inspired by the film "Dreamer," which was filmed at Keeneland and opens in theaters nationwide Oct. 21. It is the story of young girl and her family who, through hard work, determination, and a little bit of luck, bring an injured racehorse back from a catastrophic injury to win a major race.

"Horse racing is filled with people who dream big," said Keeneland president Nick Nicholson. "We thought it would be fun to give something back to our fans by giving them an opportunity to win a dream prize."

During closing week, patrons will have one chance each day to register for one of the six prizes. If they attend the races all four days, then they have four opportunities to register to win.

The "Dream Week" prizes are:

A pair of season tickets for the 2005-'06 University of Kentucky basketball season.

Five percent ownership of a 2-year-old filly for its entire racing career, courtesy of West Point Thoroughbreds.

A trip for two to a 2006 DreamWorks premiere, including travel, courtesy of Blue Grass Airport, and accommodations, courtesy of Embassy Suites.

A VIP package to Keeneland's 2006 Toyota Blue Grass Stakes (gr. I) festivities including four tickets to the Toyota Blue Grass draw, brunch, press dinner, dining room reservation for four on Toyota Blue Grass day, and a $100 betting voucher.

The drawing for the prizes will take place on closing day, Saturday, Oct. 29 after Keeneland's final live race. Contestants need not be present to win. Additionally, during "Dream Week", patrons with a ticket stub from the feature film Dreamer will receive free general admission at the Grandstand East Entrance pass gate.
