Eddington, who won this year's Pimlico Special Handicap (gr. I), will begin his stallion career in 2006 for a fee of $20,000 at the Hancock family's Claiborne Farm near Paris, Ky.

Claiborne bought an interest in the breeding rights of Eddington from owner Peter Willmott prior to the 4-year-old colt's start in the Pimlico Special. Eddington (Unbridled--Fashion Star, by Chief's Crown) retired from racing this summer with a record of 15 wins and placings from 17 starts and earnings of $1,216,760.
