A racing rarity occurred Sept. 26 at Delaware Park when the three training members of the Klesaris family each won a race.
Brother Robert Klesaris won the first race on the day with the JoJo Marie in a $5,000 mile and 70-yard claiming event. Brother Steve Klesaris followed by winning the third with Stormin Anna in a $16,000 mile and 70-yard claiming race and in the seventh with Arch Enemy in a six-furlong allowance. Father Peter Klesaris won the ninth with Secret Look in an $8,000 mile and 70-yard claiming race.
This the first time that every trainer in the Klesaris family won at least one race on the same day at the same track.
"That was something," said trainer Steve Klesaris. "There have been an awful lot of days where we have all have had losers, so it is a neat that we finally had a day where we all had at least one winner."
