First Winner for Grade II Winner Flame Thrower

Flame Thrower, a multiple grade II winner as a 2-year-old, was represented by his first winner when his son Lord of the Flame won Sept. 24 at Calder Race Course in his debut.

Bred by Quarter Pole Enterprises, Lord of the Flame won at six furlongs in 1:13.27 for TGF Stable.

Flame Thrower (Saint Ballado -- Metromane, by Metrogrand) also is the sire of Golden Flame, who was stakes-placed at Calder.

Flame Thrower stands at Cloverleaf Farms II near Ocala, Fla.

His 2005 fee was $6,500.
