Mia's Reflection rallied to beat A Sea Trippi by two lengths Saturday in the $150,000 Brave Raj Breeders' Cup Stakes for 2-year-old fillies at Calder Race Course.

Ridden by Manoel Cruz for the first time, Mia's Reflection ran a mile and 70 yards in 1:47 3/5 and paid $10.40, $4.80, and $3.60. A Sea Trippi returned $5.20 and $4, and Prospect of Love paid $4 to show.

Mia's Reflection broke her maiden in a one-mile stakes race last out.

She raced at the back of the pack for most of the trip and made a big move approaching the quarter pole to speed past pacesetters Frolicing and A Sea Trippi, who held on to finish second. Prospect of Love arrived in third place, nearly six lengths behind A Sea Trippi.

Trained by Barry Rose for the Rose Family Stable, Mia's Reflection is a homebred daughter of Halo's Image.

Foolish Pleasure Breeders' Cup Stakes
Also, Blazing Rate won the $150,000 Foolish Pleasure Breeders' Cup Stakes for 2-year-olds, beating D'broken Speed by three-quarters of a length. Blazing Rate ran a mile and 70 yards in 1:45.3 and paid $5.60, $3.60, and $3.60. D'broken Speed returned $19.20 and $7, and Tizzys No Saint paid $3.20 to show.

Making the third start of his career and his first attempt at two turns, Blazing Rate, a son of Exchange Rate  , did not disappoint the bettors who made him the post time favorite at odds of 9-to-5 in Saturday's $150,000 Foolish Pleasure Breeders' Cup Stakes at Calder. He won by two lengths.

Cecilio Penalba rode Blazing Rate to victory for trainer Richard Root and owner Ralph Sessa.
