Emerald Downs Returns to Normal After Earth Quake

Emerald Downs reopened for simulcasting Thursday morning following a Wednesday morning earthquake. The quake, which was measured at a magnitude of 7.0, shook areas of the Pacific Northwest for more than 30 seconds and was centered about 35 miles southwest of Seattle.
The track reported no significant damage to its facilities following the quake. Horses were on the track when the quake occurred, but none were injured.
Emerald Downs opens April 30, continuing through Sept. 15.
