Grade I Winner Latin American to Victory Rose

Grade I winner Latin American, who has sired 21 runners that have won or placed in stakes, has been relocated to Ellen Jackson's Victory Rose Thoroughbreds near Vacaville, Calif.
A 17-year-old son of Riverman out of the Mr. Prospector mare Clever Dancer, Latin American has sired five stakes winners, include Oh Take, an Argentine group I winner, and Brazilian group winner Namoradeira. His stakes-placed runners include Waki American, who placed in a pair of graded stakes at Del Mar as a 2-year-old, and California Derby runner-up Jekyll and Hyde.
Latin American, who sports a 20-16-21-1-0 dosage profile, has sired the earners of $5.3 million. This year, he ranks among California's leaders by 2-year-old progeny earnings.
As a racehorse, Latin American won the Californian Stakes (gr. I) in track-record-equaling time as well as the New Orleans Handicap (gr. III) and two turf stakes. Formerly at Sue Hubbard and Associates near Creston, Calif., Latin American will stand for $2,500 live foal.
