By Mary SchweitzerThe champion Attraction showed her old sparkle when leading all the way to capture the Coolmore Fusaichi Pegasus Matron Stakes (Ire-I) at Leopardstown on Saturday.
Before the race, it was doubtful that the daughter of Efisio would start, since ground was not in ideal condition. However, the decision to run was justified as Kevin Darley kept the classy filly up to her task to record her tenth win. Chic was a fast closing second, with English One Thousand Guineas (Eng-I) winner Virginia Waters third.
Immediate plans for Attraction include a defense of her title in the Sun Chariot Stakes (Eng-I), which she won last year over Chic.
