Sea of Secrets to Ballena Vista in California

Sea of Secrets, a grade II-winning son of Storm Cat, will stand the 2006 season at Donald and Karen Cohn's Ballena Vista Farm near Ramona, Calif. Sea of Secrets was purchased by the farm and will stand for $3,500.

Sea of Secrets, one of whose offspring sold for a then-world record $2.7 million as a 2-year-old, has sired nine runners that have won or placed in stakes. His four stakes winners include this year's juvenile winner Thekatcamehome. Sea of Secrets' runners have earned $2.5 million.

Sea of Secrets, who was unbeaten as a 2-year-old, won the San Vicente Stakes (gr. II) at Santa Anita and won at Hollywood Park over champion Artax as a 3-year-old. He is a half-brother to graded stakes winners Dancing Jon, Fight for Love, and Love That Jazz. His dam, Love From Mom (by Mr. Prospector), is out of grade II winner Hoso.

Ten-year-old Sea of Secrets stood the 2005 breeding season for a partnership at John T.L. Jones III and Robert Trussell's Walmac Farm near Lexington.
