Retama Park is responding to the extraordinary needs of New Orleans residents who were devastated by Hurricane Katrina, particularly employees of Fair Grounds Race Course.

"We are particularly interested in Fair Grounds employees re-located to the San Antonio area," said Retama Park CEO Bryan Brown. "We have arranged interviews for two members of Fair Grounds staff and hope to offer positions to others."

Retama Park is teaming up with the Texas Horsemen's Partnership to assist Louisiana horsemen in San Antonio.

"We are prepared to provide help in any we way can to those Fair Grounds personnel who need economic assistance and housing," Brown said.
