Offlee Wild, who won the July 2 Suburban Handicap (gr. I), has been retired after suffering an injury while finishing unplaced in the Aug. 21 Saratoga Breeders' Cup Handicap (gr. II), according to Thoroughbred Daily News.

The 5-year-old son of Wild Again will enter stud at Sheikh Mohammed's Darley at Jonabell near Lexington. The Darley operation bought the breeding rights in Offlee Wild after the Suburban.

Offlee Wild also won this year's Excelsior Breeders' Cup Handicap (gr. III), as well as last year's Massachusetts Handicap (gr. II) and the 2003 Holy Bull Stakes (gr. III). He retires with six wins from 19 starts and earnings of $976,325. His dam, Alvear (by Seattle Slew), is a half-sister to prominent stallion Dynaformer.

A fee will be announced later.
