The Maryland State Fair at Timonium will host eight days of Thoroughbred racing, beginning Saturday through Labor Day, Sept. 5.

First post daily is 1p.m. Eleven races are scheduled for the opening day card.

Two stakes for Maryland breds will be contested over the Labor Day weekend, the $50,000 Alma North and the $50,000 Taking Risk Stakes.

Jockeys listed to ride at the York Road spa include Travis Dunkelberger, a record holder at this short meeting, plus Maryland regulars Eric Camacho, Alberto Delgado and Chris VanHassel, along with Charles Town habitués Larry Reynolds and Charles Forrest.
