Chief Seattle to Empire Stud

Chief Seattle, the sire of Valdale Stakes runner-up Patty Seattle, has been relocated to Empire Stud in Hudson, New York, for the 2006 breeding season under an agreement with Darley. The 8-year-old horse, who previously stood at Spendthrift Farm near Lexington, Ky., will stand for $7,500.

A son of Seattle Slew produced from the Icecapade mare Skatingonthinice, Chief Seattle had one win and finished second in the Champagne Stakes (gr. I) and Breeders' Cup Juvenile (gr. I) from four career starts
