Multiple Graded Stakes Winner Eurosilver Retired

ultiple graded stakes winner Eurosilver has been retired after being diagnosed with a hairline fracture of his left hind leg following his sixth-place finish in the Aug. 6 Whitney Handicap.

Unbridled's Song bred and raced by Buckram Oak Farm, Eurosilver won four of 12 career starts, with four seconds and earnings of $622,310. Buckram Oak racing manager Mohammed Moubarak said stud plans have not been finalized.
Initially trained by Hall of Famer Nick Zito, Eurosilver broke his maiden in his second career start and followed with victory in the Lane's End Breeders' Futurity (gr. II) at Keeneland. He began his sophomore campaign and finished second in the Swale Stakes (gr. III) before a seven-month layoff.
Trained by Carl Nafzger upon his return to competition, Eurosilver was second in the Perryville Stakes and unplaced in the Clark Handicap (gr. II). This year, the colt won the Skip Away Handicap (gr. III) and finished second in the Stephen Foster Handicap (gr. I) previous to the Whitney.
