The win was the first in a stakes race for both Put It Back and Wynter.

"Today, I'm just happy to finally win a stake and to win it for Jimmy and Allen (Jerkens), said Wynter.

Put It Back, carrying 116 pounds, has won two straight starts. The horse covered six furlongs in 1:09.09 on the fast track to earn $48,555 for Hobeau Farm. Put It Back is currently being trained by James Jerkens while his father, Allen, recovers from pancreatitis.

"There wasn't any pressure on me as far as winning a stakes race," said Wynter. "The pressure came from being on a good horse. There is always pressure on a good horse because everyone expects them to run big. And this is a good horse. I just wanted to make sure that I did everything I could to let him run his race. He broke well, and I am grateful to both Jimmy and Allen (Jerkens). They have always been good to me. They know I work hard and they give me a chance to ride. They know that everyone makes mistakes, and they stick by you."
