Real Quiet, who entered stud in 2000 and has sired three stakes winners to date, is being relocated to stand in 2006 at Regal Heir Farms near Grantville, Penn.
The 1998 Kentucky Derby (gr. I) and Preakness Stakes (gr. I) winner will be owned by a syndicate and stand for $6,500 or $5,000 for Pennsylvania registered foals.
The son of
Quiet American -- Really Blue, by Believe It stood his first three seasons at Vinery near Lexington. He also shuttled to Australia his first year. His initial fee was $25,000. The champion stood the past three years at Taylor Made Farm near Nicholasville, Ky., for a $10,000 fee.

"We're thrilled to have him," syndicate manager Thomas Reigle said. "To my knowledge, there's never been a racehorse with such accomplishments to stand in Pennsylvania. "Actually, we're just as excited about his pedigree. The four sires in his third generation are Mr. Prospector, Dr. Fager, In Reality, and Raise a Native. For the speed we need here, that's awfully hard to beat. We feel he's absolutely the perfect stallion for the Pennsylvania breeding program."
Ten-year-old
Real Quiet has sired 60 winners and the earners of about $3 million. His leading earner is stakes winner Quiet Cash; his other stakes winners are No Place Like It and Lady Natasha (in Australia).
