Giacomo to Parade for Del Mar Fans Sunday

Kentucky Derby winner Giacomo set to appear before "hometown" fans.
(from Del Mar notes)Kentucky Derby (gr. I) winner Giacomo will be paraded in front of fans in the paddock and walking ring on Sunday at Del Mar.
The 3-year-old son of
Holy Bull is recovering from surgery to remove chips in his ankle and knee, and has been restricted to walking since a seventh place finish in the Belmont Stakes (gr. I) in June.
John Shirreffs, who trains the colt for owners Jerry and Ann Moss, and jockey Mike Smith will both be on hand for the event, which will take place following the fourth race on the card. Giacomo will wear an exact replica of the saddle towel that he wore when winning the Kentucky Derby.
