Russo, who travels the country with his culinary road shows "Cooking for Kids" and " The Heat is On" promoting healthy cooking and having fun with food, will be bringing his show to town to support disabled jockeys. The show will benefit the Disabled Jockeys' Endowment.

Russo said "I have lived in the area my entire life and I love the sport of horse racing. Most people don't know what jockeys go through just to make weight and ride, let alone what the dangers of competing are. Jockeys really don't earn much unless they finish at the top of the pack, and many who are injured don't have much to fall back on. If I can bring more awareness to what jockeys go through and help to make it a little easier for those that are disabled, then I feel lucky and honored to do so."
