West Point Names Carlson V.P. of Marketing

(from West Point Thoroughbreds release)West Point Thoroughbreds, one of racing's most successful racing partnership companies, announced the hiring of sports marketing executive Kerry Carlson as the company's first vice president of marketing.
She will begin on Aug. 15.
Carlson joins West Point Thoroughbreds after five years at New York-based SME, one of the world's leading sports branding and design agencies, where she was vice president of brand commmunications.
The 33-year-old Carlson worked for such clients as the Boston Bruins, Detroit Pistons, Dale Earnhardt, Inc., Churchill Downs, and Magna Entertainment Corporation. She helped design the brand identity program for the 1999-2001 Kentucky Derby and Magna's Sunshine Millions.
