Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky, Inc. has awarded $250,000 to Central Kentucky Riding for Hope (CKRH) as a lead donation toward a new indoor therapeutic riding facility at the Kentucky Horse Park. The new facility will allow CKRH to expand the services it provides and increase the number of mentally and physically disabled persons they are able to serve.

"We are extremely grateful to Toyota for their support of our dream of a new facility, " said CKRH Board of Directors President Jeanne Cox-Owens. "Toyota's Georgetown plant has been a longtime supporter and a number of its employees have volunteered with us over the years. We exist to help those who are often underserved in our community."

This donation brings CKRH a step closer to the launch of a community wide campaign to seek support and funds for their new facility. "Toyota's donation is more than just money – it is a huge vote of confidence in our current program as well as our plans for the future," said CKRH Capital Campaign Coordinator J.T. Ice.

Central Kentucky Riding for Hope has provided therapeutic riding to those with a wide variety of disabilities for over 24 years. CKRH's new International Center of Therapeutic Riding Excellence and Education will be located on a 24-acre site at The Kentucky Horse Park. The center will provide space for therapy rooms, classrooms, a heated indoor arena and stalls for the program's 19 equine therapists.
