Danroad, a group II-winning son of Danehill, will stand at Andrew Spalding's Hedgeholme Stud in County Durham in England for a fee of £2,800.
An Australian-bred 6-year-old by Danehill, Danroad won or placed in four stakes in New Zealand. His group efforts came in a victory in the Ford Wakefield Challenge Stakes (NZ-II) and a runner-up effort in the Ford Manawatu Sires' Produce Stakes (NZ-I). He won a total of four races as a 2-year-old and ended the 2001/2002 season as the second highest-rated colt on the New Zealand Free Handicap. He retired in 2004 with six wins from 17 starts and earnings of $53,171 in New Zealand and Australia.
Danroad is a half-brother to stakes winner Newtown Jet and is out of the Strawberry Road mare Strawberry Girl. He will shortly embark on his second Southern Hemisphere season in New Zealand, where he will stand at Highview Stud in Hamilton.
