New York grade II winner
Best of Luck has been acquired by Elisabeth Jerkens' Hardwicke Stable and been relocated to Carl Lizza Jr. and Joseph Bartone's Highcliff Farm near Delanson, N.Y. Jerkens' husband, H. Allen Jerkens, trained Best of Luck.
A 9-year-old son of Broad Brush, Best of Luck is the sire of Puerto Rican group stakes-placed Alphabest and several multiple winners from his first crop, 3-year-olds of this year. Best of Luck stood the past five years for a partnership at Frank and Mattie Justice's Dell Ridge Farm near Lexington.
Best of Luck, who was produced from graded stakes winner Crowned (by Chief's Crown), won the 1999 Peter Pan Stakes (gr. II) and Stuyvesant Handicap (gr. III) in New York and earned $616,790. His 2006 fee will be announced later.
