NYRA Fills Two Executive Posts

David A. Smukler has been named senior vice president of human resources and labor relations for the New York Racing Association.
Smukler, 52, previously held the same position at Newsday, Inc. in Melville, N.Y.
Additionally, Mike Kravchenko has been appointed to the position of senior vice president and chief financial officer. Kravchenko, 45, previously served as CFO at the Daily Racing Form. He assumes the post on Aug. 1, replacing J. William Byrne, who resigned from NYRA July 19.
