Songandaprayer Moves From Florida to Kentucky

Songandaprayer will move from Hartley/deRenzo, Walmac South, to Walmac Farm for the 2006 breeding season.

A grade I winner by Unbridled's Song   out of Allizea, by Premiership, Songandaprayer has sired four debut winners in his first crop, including $1.9 million Barretts March sale topper What A Song, co-favorite for tomorrow's Hollywood Juvenile Championship (gr. III).

"Songandaprayer has made the kind of explosive start to his stud career that horsemen dream about," said Walmac managing director John T.L. Jones III. "He has been very well received at auction, but most important, his 2-year-olds have hit the track running with four first time starters winning, one breaking Chilukki's track record at Churchill and another winning by 15 lengths at Calder."

Jones continued, "Unbridled's Song commands a fee of $125,000, and we believe his best son at stud is cut from the same cloth."

Songandaprayer was a $1-million 2-year-old purchase by basketball star Bobby Hurley and his wife Leslie, and finished his 2-year-old season an undefeated winner. At three, he won the Fountain of Youth Stakes (gr. I) and ran second in the Toyota Blue Grass Stakes (gr. I).

The stallion has 46 named 2-year-olds in his first crop, and bred a full book of mares this year.
