Wife of Joe Spadaro dead at 61

Norine Spadaro, wife of Joe Spadaro, deputy executive director of the New York Thoroughbred Breeding and Development Fund, died Monday morning following a long illness. She was 61.
Mrs. Spadaro was a certified cardiac care nurse for 24 years at Glen Cove Hospital in Glen Cove, N.Y.
A wake will be held today from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9:30 p.m. at Dalton Funeral Home, 47 Jerusalem Avenue, Hicksville, N.Y.
A funeral mass is scheduled for 9:45 a.m. Thursday at St. Ignatius Loyola Church, 129 Broadway in Hicksville.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Spadaro is survived by three sons, Joseph, Dean, and Vincent; two brothers, Robert and Harold Rochelle; a sister, Regina Smith; and four grandchildren, Jennifer, Maggie, Kyle and Kieran.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Casting for Recovery, Long Island Retreats, P.O. Box 1123, Manchester, VT 05254. Casting for Recovery is a national, non-profit support and educational program for women who have or have had breast cancer.
