(from Calder report)
Live Oak Plantation's homebred filly Hide and Chic will likely attract the most attention among the favorites for Calder's graded Summit of Speed races Saturday when she faces seven other 3-year-old fillies in the $300,000 Azalea Breeders' Cup.

Trained by Marty Wolfson with Eddie Castro aboard, Hide and Chic has been pointed for the Azalea for months, winning a Calder allowance race in May by 13 ¾ lengths and the Swept Away overnight stakes in June by 9 ¼ lengths.

Among the invaders in top form is Ghost Stable's Partners Due, who shipped from Laurel Park to win the Meadow Star Stakes at Belmont on June 18. Cornelio Velasquez gets the call from trainer Michael Trombetta. The daughter of Partner's Hero finished second in Pimlico's Miss Preakness Stakes (gr. III) prior to the Meadow Star.

Another accomplished shipper is Robert Adams' Hot Storm, who finished third last time in the Miss Preakness for trainer Dallas Stewart. Jerry Bailey rides the daughter of Stormy Atlantic   who won the Sunshine Million Oaks at Santa Anita in January.
