93 Nominated for 2005 Claiming Crown

(from Canterbury ParkLord of the Game, recent winner of the Cornhusker Breeders' Cup Handicap (gr. II) at Prairie Meadows, headlines a solid group of 93 horses pre-entered for the 2005 Claiming Crown to be run July 16 at Canterbury Park.
A $10,000 claim six months ago, Lord of the Game now has won six of seven starts for owner Bill Slevin.
Started in 1999 as an event designed to pay tribute to the blue collar heroes of Thoroughbred horse racing, the Claiming Crown championships has become the unofficial celebration of the nation's claiming horses.
