The last foal of 1977 Kentucky Derby (gr. I) and Triple Crown winner Seattle Slew is set to make her racing debut on Sunday at Churchill Downs.
The Indiana-bred Maggie Slew will run in the third race, a five-furlong maiden event for 2-year-old fillies.
Don and Dana Myers, who operate Swifty Farm in Seymour, Ind., bred and own the filly that is trained by David Vance. She is out of the Alydar mare May Day Ninety.
Seattle Slew died on May 7, 2002, the anniversary of his Kentucky Derby win.
