Abner Named Communications Manager at Ellis Park

Ellis Park has hired Josh Abner to serve as its communications manager. Abner will oversee the media relations and communications efforts of the Henderson, Ky. racetrack.

Abner will also be responsible for writing stakes previews, stakes recaps and "barn notes" -- a new feature at Ellis Park that will provide regular updates on happenings around the backside.

Abner most recently served as an assistant to Churchill Downs Incorporated director of communications, Julie Koenig Loignon, where he was involved in communications projects for all seven of CDI's racetracks, including Ellis Park.
