True Named Vice President of Youbet.com

Jeff True, Western region general manager for Youbet.com, has been named a vice president of the company. He will continue with his current duties but also head promotion and partner development programs.

True joined Youbet, an online wagering company, in 2003 and was responsible for developing the company's sponsorship with ESPN.com's horse racing section and its exclusive content partner program with CBS SportsLine.com. He also spearheaded the company's Mystery Mutuel Rewards program, a subscription-building effort launched earlier this year.

"Jeff is a horseman and former track executive who has a strong sense of sales and customer development in our business," Youbet.com chief executive officer Charles Champion said in a release. "The combination makes him an effective GM and ideally suited for the important task of developing and executing business building promotions to attract and retain players."

True spent six years with Los Alamitos, first as director of marketing and simulcasting and then general manager. Before that, he served as executive director of the Oklahoma and Texas Quarter Horse Associations.
