A bay son Cryptoclearance out of Lady Tiara was selected as the Grand Champion at the Maryland Horse Breeders Association yearling show June 26 by successful trainer Ben Perkins Sr. The colt, bred and owned by Carey W. Jackson, was one of 106 Maryland-bred yearlings judged at the Maryland State Fairgrounds.
"I love Maryland. I saw a lot of good horses and many old friends here today," Perkins said. "This was a quality group of yearlings."
Bittersweet Farm and T. Mason Grasty's filly by Two Punch out of Smart Erin was the Reserve Champion. That win secured the Worthington Farms Challenge trophy for Two Punch, who sired the most successful offspring at the show.
