At the Races and Beyond Goes National on Sirius Satellite Radio
"At the Races and Beyond," a South Florida AM radio program that boasts 100,000 listeners via it's Web site is about to get bigger...much bigger. Starting Monday, June 20, "At the Races and Beyond" will be broadcast three hours a night nationally on Sirius satellite radio. The program will air from 6-9 p.m. EDT Monday through Friday."At the Races and Beyond" is hosted by former trainer J.J. Graci III, Anita "Samm" Saint Clair, horseman John Perrotta, and handicapper Gus Alonso. The new program will be a mix of news and talk and will also have the audio calls of Thoroughbred races from around the country.Sirius satellite radio, a pay service with a monthly subscription fee of $12.95, currently has 1.5 million subscribers. It offers more than 120 channels of commercial-free music, talk shows, news and information, and sports programming. It provides play-by-play games of the NBA and is the official satellite radio partner of the NFL."It's 15 hours a week that horse racing has never had before," Graci said. "Horse racing has never had a national voice, and now they do."Graci is currently running media relations for dual-classic winner Afleet Alex, Cash is King Stable, trainer Tim Ritchey, and jockey Jeremy Rose. Saint Clair is heading up media relations for Alex's Lemonade Stand."At the Races and Beyond" is currently heard on WNN-AM 1470 in Boca Raton, Fla. and via the Web on www.attheracesandbeyond.com. It airs weeknights from 8-10 p.m. and from 3-6 p.m. on Saturday.
