Retired Steeplechase Rider Patrick F. Murphy Dead

Patrick F. Murphy, a retired steeplechase rider from Lexington, died at his home June 14. He was 81. A World War II veteran, he was a show horse rider in addition to riding jumpers. His survivors include three children and brothers James and Robert, both of whom trained horses.
