Mark of Esteem to Shuttle to Brazil

English champion miler and classic winner Mark of Esteem will be leased by Haras Fazenda Mondesir in Brazil from Sheikh Mohammed's Darley Stud Management for the 2005-06 breeding season. Mark of Esteem, a 12-year-old son of Darshaan out of the Ajdal mare Homage, has stood his entire career at Darley's Dalham Hall Stud near Newmarket, England.

Mark of Esteem has sired a dozen stakes winners, including English mile classic winner Ameerat and French group winner Spring Oak, who placed in the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf (gr. IT). This year, a daughter, Uraib, is a North American graded stakes winner.
