O'Brien Scores First Coronation Cup Victory

Mrs. John Magnier and Mrs. David Nagle's Yeats led from start to finish under Kieren Fallon to post a 2 1/2 length victory in Friday's Vodafone Coronation Cup (Eng-I) at England's Epsom Racecourse.
The victory by the 4-year-old son of Sadler's Wells provided trainer Aidan O'Brien with his first win in the Coronation Cup. The winner completed the distance of slightly over 1 1/2 miles on good turf in 2:36.98.

Kingmambo sent off as the 2-1 favorite, was held up in last early in the seven-horse field before rallying to finish second.
"He's a lovely horse and is still coming on," O'Brien told the BBC of the winner, who went off at 5-1 odds.
