Round Pond, who has been out of action since winning the April 15 Fantasy Stakes (gr. II) at Oaklawn Park, highlights a solid field of six 3-year-old fillies entered in Saturday's $250,000 Acorn (gr. I), going one mile at Belmont Park.

Trained by John Servis for Rick Porter, Round Pond didn't make her career debut until Feb. 13, finishing third in a six-furlong maiden special weight contest. The talented daughter of Awesome Again   returned to the track Feb. 27 to break her maiden by eight lengths. She then scored a five-length win in the 1 1/16-mile Honeybee Stakes before winning the Fantasy going 1 1/16 miles by four lengths. All four of her races have been contested at Oaklawn Park.

Regular rider Stewart Elliott will be aboard Round Pond for the Acorn. The pair will break from gate one.

While Round Pond could be considered the standout, Kentucky Oaks (gr. I) runner-up In the Gold should also see plenty of action.

The Nick Zito-trained daughter of Golden Missile   entered the Kentucky Oaks off an impressive length win in the April 14 Stonerside Beaumont Stakes (gr. II) at Keeneland for Charlotte Weber's Live Oak Stable.

In 2003 Zito, who was recently elected to the Hall of Fame, guided Bird Town to wins in the Stonerside Beaumont, Kentucky Oaks, and Acorn en route to champion 3-year-old filly honors.

Jockey Rafael Bejarano gets the mount aboard In the Gold. The pair will break from gate three.

California-shipped Splendid Blended will make her sophomore debut in the Acorn. The homebred daughter of Unbridled's Song hasn't raced since winning last year's Hollywood Starlet (gr. I) by two lengths for trainer Neil Drysdale and owner Peter Vesgo.

Splendid Blended will break from gate five under jockey Jerry Bailey.

The field for Saturday's $250,000 Acorn (gr. I) includes:
1--Round Pond (Stewart Elliott)
2-- Seek a Star (Jorge Chavez)
3-- In the Gold (Rafael Bejarano)
4-- Seeking the Ante (Michael Luzzi)
5-- Splendid Blended (Jerry Bailey)
6-- Smuggler (John Velazquez)
