Arlington Park Reports 16.5% Spike in Attendance

Edited press releaseArlington Park, fresh off a successful Memorial Day program, said attendance thus far is up 16.5% from the corresponding period in 2004.
On May 30, the suburban Chicago racetrack reported attendance of 16,358, the largest of the season. Arlington officials said the Memorial Day figure was second only to that of Hollywood Park, which reported attendance of 17,011 for its holiday program.
Arlington's total seasonal attendance through May 30 was 99,464, up from 85,366 for the first 14 days of last year's meet.
Arlington continues to schedule special events in conjunction with live racing programs. On June 3-4, concerts are scheduled.
