Exchange Rate Gets First Winner

Exchange Rate   had his first career winner when British Bow won in Italy May 20.

By Danzig out of the Seeking the Gold mare Sterling Pound, Exchange Rate   stands at Satish Sanan's Padua Stables near Summerfield, Fla. His stud fee all four years at stud there has been $7,500.

The 8-year-old stallion won six of 15 starts including the 2001 Tom Fool Handicap (gr. II) and Risen Star Stakes.

British Bow was bred in Florida by Elizabeth and David Whelan from the Candi's Gold mare Ribbon Candi. Consigned by Summerfield as agent to the 2004 Ocala Breeders' Sales Co.'s winter mixed sale, she was purchased by Scuderia Golden Horse for $15,000.
