Salt Lake Filly, Illinois Storm Colt Among Fastest Workers

A colt and a filly shared the fastest eighth of a mile time when they stopped the clock in :10.0 seconds Saturday during the second session of the under tack show for the Barretts May sale of 2-year-olds in training. The filly was Hip 183, a daughter of Salt Lake out of the stakes-placed Amy Lieghn. Her consignor is Sunrise Stable South as agent. The colt was Hip 325, a son of Illinois Storm out of Jonathan's Miss. His consignor is B.C.3. Thoroughbreds, agent for Early Equine.

The fastest quarter-mile time was recorded by Teals Lullabie, who was clocked in :21.1. The filly, cataloged as Hip 253, is a by Sultry Song out of Duck Decoy. Her consignor is Werner Ranch, agent.

The fastest three-furlong time of :33.4 was recorded by Hip 214, a filly by Stephen Got Even   out of stakes winner Bright Asset. Her consignor is Murray Smith.

The sale is scheduled for Tuesday at the Hinds Pavilion located on the grounds of Fairplex Park in Southern California. The starting time is 11 a.m. (PDT).
