(from Hollywood Park notes)Trainer Neil Drysdale, fresh off a one-two finish with King of Happiness and Red Fort in the Inglewood Handicap (gr. IIIT) Saturday, may seek another stakes sweep on turf in the $350,000 Jim Murray Handicap (gr. IIIT) on May14.
Drysdale said that veteran Sarafan, who worked six furlongs in 1:16 1/5 on turf Sunday under Corey Nakatani, was a candidate for the 1 ½-mile rest on turf.
The trainer said he was also considering the mare Nadeszhda, runner-up to Megahertz in the recent Santa Barbara Handicap (gr. IIT) at Santa Anita, against males in the Jim Murray after she worked seven furlongs on grass in a bullet 1:29.
Inglewood winner King of Happiness should return in the $350,000 Shoemaker Breeders' Cup Mile (gr. IT) on May 30, Drysdale said, while runner-up Red Fort would probably make his next start in the $350,000 Charlie Whittingham Memorial Handicap (gr. IT) on June 11.
